Help! Passed speech with a "D"

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Soo I just finished my online speech course with a final grade as a D. In my school is considered a passing grade because it's a gen ed course but if it was a nursing course I would have failed. I really wasn't focused when I took this course and had a lot going on at the time not to mention submitting everything through blackboard late. My Question Is should I Retake The Class At A Community College OR Just Pay To Take It Again At My school? Will it hurt my chances of getting into a BSN program with that on my transcript? I'm stressed about it..

I would retake it at a community college. Speech is a relatively simple course, so admissions personnel at any future schools to which you apply might look sideways at a 'D' grade in speech and wonder how that even happened. Good luck to you.

And you need to keep in mind that if you try to enter a program where that class is required, it may be that the grade needs to be a C (at least in most cases). Retaking it will raise your GPA, if nothing else.

Thanks! I've decided to just retake it not sure where yet but hopefully they can fit it into my last quarter schedule :)
