LPN to RN Ivy tech 2017 applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm just curious to see how many of us plan on applying to transition program for Summer 2017. I have already taken TEAS and I'm going to retake cause I'm not happy with my score. My overall score currently is 113. Which I'm not too happy about but I didn't study at all the first time due to work and the stress of the semester, and man that science section killed my score. I'm apply for Gary/Crownpoint and Valpo.

I am apply in February for the transition program. I take my TEAS on the 17th and pray I get an 80. I go to the SB campus and my score was 117 so I plan to get a better TEAS score.

I am applying for the summer '17 for LPN to RN. Graduated in 2011 with LPN from South Bend campus. Took TEAS 6 this week.

Hello, I just applied yesterday with a total score of 114 best wishes to all

I took my teas 1/17/17 and got the same score from 2 years ago (67)! My total points are 118, but from what I hear the transition program is not as competitive as going straight for the RN. Wishing everyone luck; next month is approaching fast!

I sure hope not :oldman: Gary/Cp campus has 30 seats available which was my 1st choice. It just seems like soooo many lpns were in that orientation class...was a little discouraging. Do you know when they will notify us of our acceptance? I wrk with 3 nurses who got in last year.

This is going to be the longest wait of my life! So happy I stumbled across this forum

Good luck you all. Although I do not have any transitional students in my classes, the nursing staff at Lawrence gave much praise and looked forward to the lpn to rn students. There did not seem to be many, but the staff took a segment of orientation to aknowlege the LPNs in the room.

Very encouraging!!! Thanks

This time around, they do 4 rounds starting the first week in February. It could take 4 weeks. More information on the process of admissions is on the ivytech website under overview session.

Hey all, I retook TEAS and raised my score by a couple of points. Submitted my application with a score of 120. Now I just have to occupy myself while waiting because 4 weeks of not knowing is gonna kill me. Good luck to all 🙂
