LPN to RN through Excelsior advice

Published

Is there anyone currently working on this? I just enrolled. I have to repeat A&P before I start nursing classes because my A&P had been longer than 5yrs. I haven't register for the exam yet, any advice on study materials would be helpful.

Hello, there. Your thread has been moved to our Excelsior College forum with the hope of attracting responses from other students who are enrolled in the LPN to ASN program. Good luck to you.

I am just staring the A&P 1 myself. I rented the book from Amazon and I got the practice exams. Like I said, I am just starting it myself.

I plan on using the MyStudyGuideHelper 101 found at study group101.com as well as watching the videos AnatomyGMC on youtube. I have read elsewhere that these two resources really helped.

If you have an apple product, there is a great app called "Anatomy and Physiology" by a developer called "Study By APP". It's not free (4.99), but it's got great quizzes, audio lectures if you don't have time to sit and study, and full of diagrams, some interactive. I would use it mostly to enhance what I had been studying after reading the books and the study guides, as I am a very visual learner.

It may also be available in android format, but I don't have any android devices to test that theory. :)

If you already had a&p don't worry cause this will be a refresher. Try studygroup101 they are cheap and thorogh and watch youtube anatomygmc. If you take the practice exams from excelsior don't worry if you only get a 48 or so cause you'll still pass. The practicd exams are way harder than the real one.
