Hello everyone,
I'll be finishing up my LPN program at Davenport this summer and am looking at schools for LPN-RN (as Davenport only has LPN, BSN, Masters). My options thus far are OCC, Schoolcraft, and HFCC.
Has anyone attended a LPN-RN program in the last few years in the area? Did you have to work 1500 hours as an LPN first? How was your experience? Is anyone else looking to start LPN-RN in the next year or so?

Hello I've been wanting to go to Davenport also are you at the warren campus? I would like to start this spring. Was it difficult to get in the LPN program there? Do you know if Baker credits transfer over? I already have crefits at Davenport that's one reason I'd like to get my LPN? What are there clinical hours like? I also looked into Dorsey but they said I would have to go for PCT first. Im not sure of any LPN -RN programs other than UOP Ive heard they have a online bridge program
Hi,
Davenport's (Warren campus) PN program was not difficult to get into. I transferred credits from Henry Ford (associate of arts) and Baker (I was going to Auburn Hills and Allen Park campus), so you will be fine with that part. I took everything as far as pre-reqs except A&P and I am taking that in the program, but I wouldn't advise doing that. LOL! This semester I have 16 credits (Pharm II, Med-Surg I and clinical, Nutrition for Nurses, and A&P II).
Davenport offers LPN, BSN, and MSN, but no RN (ADN). But in the metro Detroit area we have Henry Ford, Schoolcraft, and OCC that I know off that do have LPN to RN (ADN) bridge programs. Some call for you to work 1500 hours as an LPN first others require for you to have graduated with 2 years of an accredited LPN program (DU's is accredited by ACEN).
Best wishes!
