How long is your commute to school?

Prospective Nursing Student debating on whether or not to move about an hour away from school.

Mines was a 15-20 min drive but I took the train, bus, or trolley to save gas and money on parking and my school was a block away from everything.

My school was 45 minutes to 1 hour away depending on traffic. Throw in winter weather and we are talking 2+ hours. Then there were clinicals which were 90 minutes to 2 hours away, one way.

I survived it, I graduated, I did what I had to do. I see folks fretting about 30 minute commutes and I shake my head. I guess its all in where you live, what schools are available, and how far you are willing to travel to fulfill your goal.

this is my second time in school because last time I got into 2 really bad car accidents.

where I was living is the middle of nowhere and the 2 cities closest to me are baton rouge (west of me) and Hammond (east of me) both are about 30 miles away. but when I went to the school in baton rouge the traffic was horrible, it would take me a minimum of 1.5 hours every morning. but now going to Hammond the drive was only 30 minutes because there is no traffic. and now I live in Hammond so it takes me about 5 minutes to get to school.

I would have no problem driving an hour to aschool if I really liked the school and if it was just an hour away, but if that hour is because of traffic idk if I could handle that again. driving for 1 hour straight is completely different from sitting in dead traffic for an hour

10-15 minutes depending on which route I take, highway or scenic. It's so nice having such a short commute!

I live about 30 minutes away from my school. I would have considered a school an hour away though. I start in 3 weeks! But I have commuted 45 minutes to another school before. I use the longer commute to wake up a bit more, drink my coffee, and relax listening to some music.
