At least half of my class or more (LPN) has zero medical background of any kind, and the program heads like it that way- it makes for a good balance of perspectives. My med surg teacher says that being a CNA or whatever before nursing school isn't always a great thing because you might have spent years doing lots of things the wrong way or in an unsafe way.

I am in the process of applying to an LPN program, about to take the TEAS test and all that fun stuff...However, I wanted to know if anyone went into a program like this without any previous experience, such as CNA? The only similar experience I have is helping my grandparents with eating and things like that. Thanks!
