Check with the school you are applying to, the application should specify what the school requires for admission. Since most LPN/LPN programs are vocational not collegiate transcripts may not be relevant as vocational courses usually don't transfer to the collegiate level. However if you have taken any college level courses, you are required to forward the transcripts so that you may get credit for any if the required general education courses.

Hi beachynurse,

Thank you for the reply. Do you happen to know any online schools that require lvn license? I have been googling and there aren't that many lvn to rn programs that are offered online I only came accross few and most of them asked to fill out a form to request information.

Thanks

Excelsior college http://www.excelsior.edu. If you are good you can pull the application and program materials from the website. Also Indiana State University offers an online LPN-BSN program. Check the online/distance education forums on this site for lots of information. Both require LPN/LVN but neither is accepted in all states for initial RN licensure. For example Excelsior's LPN-RN/ASN is not accepted in CA

Thank you for the information. I will try contacting Indiana State University since they are accepted in CA.
