Hi everyone. Iam looking into the kaplan college in sacramento lvn program that starts in october. I went for the tour already and passed the first test. What i was wondering was does anyone have any thoughts on this school? are you currently attending this class? how are the teachers what type of finacial aid do they have? any info would be greatly appreciated. also i was looking at csi college in vacaville anything on that school would be helpful too.

No they don't offer iv cert. But there are places in sac that offer the class. If you look on bvnpt under cont edu they have a list of approved providers.

hello ladies - DH and I just got back from our vaykay in Cabo San Lucas. had to spend some time catching up with all of you and your kaplan status.

don't know if I mentioned it, but I was concerned that I hadn't had my interview w/them before leaving. I had called and left a msg w/my rep that I would be leaving and wouldn't be returning until the first week in oct.

they hastily scheduled an interview and I had it late in the afternoon the day before we left.

so, to date, I've not heard back from them. we'll see how it goes.

anyway, it's good to be back. it's nice and cool here. it was pushing 100 when we left and I hear it barely got in the 70s last week! Cabo was hotter than $#%@ and humid - like a steam bath.

yipeeee! fall is here (finally)!

Applemom- In other schools it is combined into the courses but @Kaplan not so.

Ok Guys!!! I have a little update (something is better than nothing lol). I was told that the Kaplan Campus (Sacramento) is now accredited for the next 5 years (Yay!!!).....the program costs have gone up as there is a change in the curriculum and some more classes (?) have been added but it has not been decided what the cost is going to be as of yet though....The decisions will most probably be called in next week as the DON is out of town and without her being there they can't do it (they didn't tell me the reason why)....she's coming at the end of this week......and last but not the least, the program start date has been decided and it's going to be Novermber 9th.....ahhhhhh it seems so close now (if we all get into the program that is...and hopefully we all will! :) )

ashlie - yeah, because I know the cc's and even western career college include iv in the program. i wonder if the classes they are adding include iv/blood withdrawal cert?

next week??? why do they keep pushing it further?? didn't they just tell you this week for sure?? lol. who did you speak with, your rep, or the don, or the director of admissions? GRRRR to the 10th.

and speaking of the twilight series, eclipse is still sitting around waiting to be read. i keep forgetting about it, haha. btw, i read twilight in less than 2 days and new moon in 3 (i was busy with some stuff so it took "awhile")

Nov 9th huh? wow so a month away from friday.

No i spoke with the front desk lady. My rep is still unavailable they said she is on vacation. I knew the price was going up i found out about that before the interview. I really hope it isnt too much. Sheesh. another week to go.(thanks for the info)

applemom- same here on the books. It took me a bit longer to read new moon. Wasnt really into the jacob and bella thing but when i read eclipse and breaking dawn.. combined reading time i believe was one week >sighs

I'm glad I have a 14 year old sister to borrow the books from, I might feel weird going into bookstore to buy them:P

Well, I don't think he would want to be seen buying the books either! He admits to liking chick flicks and will say things like "That was a really good movie" but he wouldn't dare tell his friends "Hey man, Made of Honor was good!" lol

My husband laughed so hard when grandma put on the glow in the dark thunder beads that he cried!!! but then went home and watched the military channel like it was nothing!!!
