I'm just curious about what the costs for LPN school are now in different areas. I went to school in 1969 and cost of the ENTIRE course was $150 at our vocational school. This included books, two uniforms, two caps (yes, I'm old..but I loved my cap), lunches in the cafeteria during clinicals, and our graduation uniform and pin. I can't even imagine what it is now.
Beleive it or not, In New York there is a 10 month LPN program for the cost of $1,855.00 ran by NYC Dept of Education Office of Adult and Continuing Education their web site is www.cnetnurse.com

Hi Thank you so much for this info....do you know if New Jersey offer this course?
My program cost $9500. This does not include books, uniforms, or supplies. We also have to pay an additional $250 comprehensive review class then $150 to take the comprehensive exam before we are released to take the boards. This is in Washington, D.C. I travel there from Maryland, so don't get me started on the cost of gas.

Hello everyone...
I wanted to jump in here and say...
Yes!! there are some schools that are way more expensive than others; however, I kinda look at it this way...
You go out and pay xxxxx dollars for a new vehicle and most likely finance it over several years. After you pay ( lets just say $22,000 with interest and all..naturally it could be much higher, but for now lets just go with that..)
Anyway after 5, 6, 10 years...all you have is a piece if metal!! BUT after you make the same investment in yourself, you STILL have something to show for it, better employment opportunities, options for education advancement, and so on..!!!!!!!
Investing in yourself is never wrong no matter the cost!
