I suggest you work as a travel nurse first to see if you like it.

It's very expensive and remember your on an island.

rent is also very expensive. What about California?

the lpn's here in hawaii get on a avergae of $14-$16 perhour.

rent for a 2 bedroom apartment is about $850-$1100 per month.

gas is $2.00 per gallon

movie tickets cost $9.00 for night viewing and $5.50 for matinee's

a single family home cost about $385,000

tax is 4.167% on anything you buy.

Dont be mad at him. He like me is just a man. Be mad at those pert young things who wear those thong thingees for the sole purpose of getting attention. At least you didnt take him to any of the nude or topless beaches.

Well I have lived in Hawaii before for 3 years but I wasnt working, my husband was stationed out there. Then we went to California, which is where I am from and then Alabama, and now back to Hawaii! and from what I hear the money is better in Hawaii than Cali! I was just wondering about the Lpn demand out there? I cant wait to get back,.. we are considering buying a house out there!

thanks to all of you for your help!

I got my bikini ready!!

& my hubby had the surfboard!!!

I'm an LPN in Hawaii and all I have to say is good luck finding employment, There are many LPNS here and and from my experiance on Oahu they seem to be a dime a dozen. Any mainland transplants living on Oahu out there? looking for a penpal to chat with on my off time. please e-mail me!!

[Well actually I was wondering what the pay is like? I will most likely be working for the government out there on one of the bases where my husband gets staioned.. We lived there before and we know some people at the medical facilities, but as far as the civilian jobs how are they? where are you working currently?
