I have to start studying for the NCLEX....but as of right now...i have no motivation......i have 2 review books with CD roms......
should i study all my notes too? and reread my text? What are you alll doing to prepare?
did any of you have a NCLEX type of test at the end of your year? We had one and it is supose to be some indication as to how you will do on the state NCLEX...i did above average.........and i walked out thinking i knew nothing......hopefully the NCLEX will be the same:up:that would be cool...
anyway....just wondering about any other GPNs...

Hi, Paula!
First of all, congratulations on your graduation! Kudos to you!
I am in the 5th quarter of a 5 quarter LPN program. We actually have an NCLEX class and are going through a book to prepare these last 12 weeks.
Use your CD roms--they tell us ours will be of great help.
Congrats on your new job, too!
Good luck on your boards!

Congrats, girl! I graduated Wednesday and have been kinda floundering for the last few days. I figured I scared away all my family and friends for 14 months so now they are no where to be found! I finally started studying for NCLEX on Sunday. I am using Saunders and Davis CD-ROM's that come with the books. Friends who graduated shortly before me did the same, and passed boards in 85 questions. I have a similiar job lined up with disabled clients and I plan on working on my RN immediately. I AM EXCITED FOR US! I too haven't worked for about 15 years and am THRILLED to be so empowered! Good luck and post after you pass boards!
HORRAY FOR US!!!!

Hello Ladies!!
I also graduated about 2 weeks ago, and I am just about ready to start the NYCLEX-PN schedule of study. I am so nervous about passing, even though I know that if I could get through LPN school then I can do "ANYTHING"!!!!
Good luck my sisters on studying and passing. I am also using Saunders and Davis, book and CD's. I think if I study at least 2 hours a day and look for a job the other hours, I might just be OK. I really need a job, in fact I haven't applied for the state boards because I don't have the money right now. keep me in your prayers, and congrats and good luck once again.

Congradulations!!
I also graduated about 2 weeks ago and I now have a job as a Treatment Nurse. I have started studying my Saunders CD ROM and it is very helpful, I think after going through Nursing school you just want to relax for a minute and catch your breath!!
Good luck!!

Congrats to you all for your graduation you are entering a great career field. I graduated May of 07 our program included a must pass HESI exam that was supose to indicate you NCLEX passability. I found the HESI much harder than the actual NCLEXPN. The NCLEXPN questions were more straight foward than I expected. Good Luck to you all. I will be taking the NCLEXRN soon so I feel your anxiety.
