LPN or CNA program at Sac City or ARC?

Published

Hello, i'm 17, 18 in August and I will be graduating highschool sometime in december and I plan to stay 2 years in Sacramento then move to Los Angeles. Before I move I need some type of experience or job I can have under my belt. So since I want to "make it in the entertainment industry" I want to be safe, financially. I don't mind a little struggle and my aunt might move with me aswell as my neice (she takes care of her.) My question is if someone can tell me of any LPN, CNA or even a 1 year program I can do at either Sac City college, American river college, or any other accredited place. Also, can you tell me some stuff you know about those programs.. Even if you heard of something, please tell me. I have been looking on google for a while.. and haven't yet found my answers. Thanks to those in advance.

American River doesn't offer an LVN program, Sacramento City does though. Also, check out Twin Rivers (aka Grant Adult School) Unified school district as they have an LVN program. The more expensive ones are Kaplan and Western Career in Sacramento.

ARC has a CNA program I believe. Is it Nurse 100? I know I took it there a few years ago, and would assume they still have it. Try http://www.losrios.edu, and check the different school catalogs from there.
