I can understand the rationale for this.... LP/VN programs are very diverse and do not require "accreditation" (only state approval). So, they are using a standardized test to validate your knowledge base. If you can't turn up anything else, I would suggest that you get a study guide for NCLEX-PN... that is essentially the national "standard" for licensure.
Best of luck to you!

Hi!! I recently submitted my package to RN school through Rose State College. They notified me that the school I went to in TX for my LVN was not nationally accredited so I would need to take a LPN Challenge Exam. The exam is this coming Friday and I'm super nervous. I'm a school nurse so I haven't been in a hospital setting in about 5 years. I've rememorized lab values and such...but I'm having a hard time studying for this test. I can't find info on the test anywhere. Has anyone else had to take it? Can you suggest some areas I need to study for? Did you find this exam hard? I know I need to make an 850 to pass. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you fellow nurses!!!
