am trying to find out information if I can transfer credentials from California to Ontario. What do I have to do.

Sorry, but you are unable to obtain a visa to work there with the LPN training from the US as a start. Same way that a Canadian LPN is unable to get a visa to work in the US. As for licensure, it is going to be dependent upon the province as a start. But the final issue comes down to the fact that without a visa to work there, licensing means nothing. The only way to get a visa to work there as an LPN provided the province would accept your training was if you were married to a Canadian and were petitioned by them for the visa, no other way.
Most of the provinces there have changed their requirements as well for licensure and in order to get licensed there as an LPN/LVN, you must have completed a two year program. Minimal training now needed for the RN license there is the BSN.

You can't transfer credentials, you need to apply to the province nursing board and be assessed.
