Loyola University New Orleans CRNA

Updated:   Published

I created this thread because Loyola University New Orleans has a new CRNA and duel CRNA/AGACNP program. Application is open on nursing cas for both programs and closes April 3rd. The school is in pre-accreditation but on track to admit for August '23, if not at the latest January '24.

IDK about Loyola but my interview with UM was very clinical, pharmacology and pathophysiology heavy. They asked me down to the drug class. Really understanding a patient you see on your unit and a scenario- drips, patho, devices if you use them. Your why. On CRNA prep academy I paid for a month it was $79 which is expensive but they have mock interviews, a whole library for drugs and patho. It was amazing. Good luck to you!

I have CSPA and have been using their resources there. I am creating a study guide today!

Does any know how many people were chosen to interview vs. how many seats are available? Also, has anyone heard back about when they will actually be interviewing based on the available times picked from?

I heard official times will go out today! I do not know the answers to your other questions. Maybe someone else will have more info.

Hi everyone. For the people that received interviews. Did you all do a one page personal statement as listed on nursingcas?

My personal statement was 2 pages. There was conflicting instructions on NursingCAS so I emailed the school to make them aware of it. IDK if they cared bc no one emailed me back LOL. But I seen the instructions for 1 page after I seen the instructions that said 1-2 pages. It turned out OK for me as I was invited to interview.

I thought it was strange they sent a line up of all the people interviewing in a word doc..... I guess the presentation will be interesting and then interview after. This is the first class ever for their CRNA program right?

Yes, this is their inaugural class. I thought it was strange as well, but gave them the benefit of the doubt bc I know it's their first time. The list did help me figure out my chance of admission though LOL. I'm more excited about the information session bc I missed the other ones they had. I would like to know more about the structure of the program.

Good luck to everyone who interviewed! Hopefully we hear something soon ?
