I created this thread because Loyola University New Orleans has a new CRNA and duel CRNA/AGACNP program. Application is open on nursing cas for both programs and closes April 3rd. The school is in pre-accreditation but on track to admit for August '23, if not at the latest January '24.

Hey! I'm applying to Loyola's dual degree program. Just submitted my NursingCAS today! Hopefully it is verified before the deadline. I emailed the school to try to figure out if they planned on having an information session, but no definite answer yet. Did you apply?
Hey! I submitted last month for the dual as well! They had two info sessions one in Feb and the other early this month, I doubt they will have another but keep looking out. I've been in correspondence with the director, she's really sweet so just email her directly she responds very quickly.
I think you will be verified by the due date, I've never seen it take more than 2 weeks. Good luck to you! I hope we are classmates!
Yes, she is very nice! I had an application question and she was emailing with me way passed business hours! She told me be on the lookout for an info session this month but I guess I missed it. I'm happy to hear that about NursingCAS, that gives me hope. I hope we're classmates too!
Did you receive the email about the timeline of things?

Yes, I did! I'm getting excited and nervous! I like that they're sending "save the dates" that helps with my anxiety LOL
Oh good! I'm glad it was verified in time! I wonder how many people have applied. I'm kind of surprised no one else has found the thread. No one I've talked to has heard of the program yet. Do you know anyone else applying?

I'm surprised too, I thought there would at least be a little more traction on this thread by now. Is it only us that applied? LOL. No one I know is applying. I only found the program searching through NursingCAS, so I was kind of lucky. Im not local to New Orleans though, maybe there more people are aware of the program. IDK. I wonder if they are still planning to start the cohort in August. Did they send out a recording of the webinar you attended? I'm kind of bummed I missed it.

No they didn't send a recorded version. There were probably 10 people in the zoom meeting I went to. So I'm sure those people applied too they are hoping to start in August, I've been looking on the COA website frequently to see if there is any update to their accreditation but so far nothing. If they don't pass then it will start in January, she said definitely. The less people tho the better our chances are LOL but I hope the school is getting a decent amount of attention tho they already had an FNP program and Accelerated BSN program so I'm sure word has spread.

Yes that's what I was thinking the smaller the amount the greater our chances LOL. Did they say how many people they expect to have in the cohort? I was on the COA website yesterday and didn't see an update yet. I like that Loyola's dual program is only 3 years. I seen another school who extended it to 4 with the NP degree. That's one of the main reasons why I decided to apply here.
Hey! I just heard interview invites by the end of this week or the beginning of next week! Fingers crossed!
Oh good! Did you email someone??
