Loyola University New Orleans CRNA

I created this thread because Loyola University New Orleans has a new CRNA and duel CRNA/AGACNP program. Application is open on nursing cas for both programs and closes April 3rd. The school is in pre-accreditation but on track to admit for August '23, if not at the latest January '24.

Yes, I emailed something unrelated to the deadline and that is what the academic advisor replied.

I just applied. I honestly just found out about the program. Also, where there any fees due?

Hi! Welcome! Did you apply to the Dual or CRNA only? The only fee I know of is the application fee that you pay to submit your app to Loyola

I applied for the CRNA only. Also, I have to do a separate application other than nursing cas?

No there is no supplemental app.

Lmao! No judgment here! I have a lot of schools I want to apply to so I'll be all over soon! I started with these two schools in hopes I would hear back sooner LOL. Let's hope we both get in somewhere this admissions cycle! During the information session did Loyola ever say how the hybrid part of the program will work? Like is it online for the first 3 semesters or something?

Yea I applied to two other schools. I didn't get a an interview at one and got waitlisted for the other. These two are the only two im applying to for right now Im gonna wait to hear back before I start any other apps. I have a good feeling about Loyola tho. That's my top pick right now. FIU seems like a great program. I wasn't going to apply but they waived the GRE in the middle of the app cycle so I got my app in right on time LOL

That was my thought exactly LOL. I was just browsing NursingCAS and seen FIU didn't require the GRE, and I emailed the school to confirm and applied! I like FIU because I hear it's a nice program and a nice interview. But Loyola is my top pick because I would be able to start this year which means a year closer to being a CRNA! I'm kind of excited at the thought of relocating to NOLA too! During the information session did they give any insight to the type of interview they would have?

Oh I just realized I didn't even answer your last question LOL but yes the first three semesters are online and we would relocate I believe fall 2024. I can't remember exactly what she said but I know she will be asking booth clinical and EI I have a feeling she will be a little heavier in the clinical questions. I had a zoom meeting with her a while back and she was asking me specific questions about my previous interview so I think she was still trying to figure out how she wanted to go about out. And I'm not sure how many people will be participating either because as far as I know she doesn't have an assistant director yet. I'm excited to move to low key! One of my close friends has a condo there so I was going to move in there lmao I already have everything planned out I have to get in LOL

OMG! I was looking at places to rent and seeing how close they were to Loyola and everything LOL! I'm claiming it for both of us! If not Loyola then somewhere lmao.
