I’ve seen some other posts regarding nursing in Florida, but none recently and none specific to the Keys. We will be moving to the Lower Keys by the end of 2020. My husband will be working in Key West, so we will be living within 45 minutes of there.
I've perused the job market and it is alarmingly bleak. I am a BSN prepared RN with 7+ years experience. I’m coming fro CA so I’m already somewhat prepared to cry my eyes out about the pay. But I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll find a job at all?!?
I would love any insight anyone has to offer.

I did a quick look at Lower Keys Medical Center and there were two jobs (both PRN) on the first of 3 pages, then I got kicked out? Have you thought about doing PRN in Miami, stacking your days together and trying to find a cheap hotel to stay in between shifts? The farther north of Key West you live the shorter your drive will be, so you could theoretically drive in the day of your shift and come home the same day of your last shift. Of course all bets will be off when a hurricane comes in, but at least you'll have plenty of warning.
I just read an email from Acuity Healthcare, they have jobs in Miami and Plantation. Jason Bruns. I took ss but not the phone number, hold on. 941-444-2436

He wants resume, good contact number and best time to contact. Looks like some good bennie's including $10K sign on bonus (which could be a red flag) but my phone won't let me post screenshots.
Also, post your resume on Indeed. com. I did that after getting out of the military and was getting emails for years after. I got a job without using it but it couldn't hurt.

Have you gotten a job? I am also moving to the Keys in December. I just had an interview in Key West. But they have a lot of RN job openings at Lower Keys Medical Center. Look at their website!
No, I haven’t started interviewing yet. I just got my Florida license, though. My life is further complicated by having school age children who aren’t in school full time yet. Where are you moving from?
I am moving from northern part of Florida.
PAS1 I'm curious if you have gotten a job in the Keys?
