  1. No, I haven’t started interviewing yet. I just got my Florida license, though. My life is further complicated by having school age children who aren’t in school full time yet. Where are you moving from?
  2. I’ve seen some other posts regarding nursing in Florida, but none recently and none specific to the Keys. We will be moving to the Lower Keys by the end of 2020. My husband will be working in Key West, so we will be living within 45 minutes of there. I've perused the job market and it is alarmingly bleak. I am a BSN prepared RN with 7+ years experience. I’m coming fro CA so I’m already somewhat prepared to cry my eyes out about the pay. But I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll find a job at all?!? I would love any insight anyone has to offer.
  3. As a recent graduate finishing up a nurse residency program, nursing school and my clinical experiences are still fresh in my mind. In our first clinical rotations, we all remained on the same floor - with direct supervision from our instructor who utilized a teaching method much like some that have been mentioned in this positing, hands-on with high expectations - and we were: well-groomed, well-mannered, and perhaps most importantly, well-prepared. But as we advanced through the program, sets of two students would get sent to multiple floors, and a single instructor was now responsible for "supervising" 10 students in multiple places. Needless to say, attitudes and appearances began to falter.
