Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

I'm starting this thread, because I couldn't find one for this year's application process for Lower Columbia (LCC)'s LPN-RN program. Please share any helpful information! What are you using to study for the TEAS and Kaplan exams?

Rada, that’s amazing!! Congrats!! Can I ask what you mean by unofficial results? I’m going crazy waiting over here and also did you get an email?

So I live in Hillsboro and they called me to ask if I would be willing to drive and if I wanted to start in the fall or Winter.

Ohh I see. Yeah I live too far I don’t think that would be an option for me. But now I will wait by the phone and keep checking my email over and over again haha

Did you select online and in person on your app? I only scored 3 points higher than you and I did not select in person because it would be too far for me ? so not feeling too good about this

Yes ma'am. I selected online and in-person. I was told that this year they actually have more openings for "traditional" route than online. (Which does not make sense to me since don't they take 45 students for online?) Maybe because of COVID they have so many openings for the on-campus option?

I got unofficial results today! I was accepted into the traditional on-campus LPN2RN program!! Praise God! I thought I wasn't going to get in with my Kaplan score. I got a 71% on my Kaplan, and a 90.7% on the TEAS. I was told there wasn't room for me in the online program so I'm guessing everyone who scored higher will get in! The official results will be still posted by the August 13.

Hey Rada! Cngratulations! Did you take any clases at LCC at all?

I took the majority of my prerequisites at PCC, but to fulfill LCC's requirements I took some classes.

Hey just an update to ease everyone’s mind. I got a call today and was accepted into the LPN to RN program on campus starting this fall. The unofficial/official acceptance means that we have basically been informed by phone that we are accepted but will receive our official email along with everyone else. I only applied for on campus. My test scores were mediocre 73.3 on TEAS then 82 on Kaplan. I’m sure most of you with high test scores made the program. I have faith!

I've been checking several times a day.  I wonder if they are offering up the on campus slots first before moving on to fill the online slots, so people who applied for both are offered the on campus option, and those who only want the online option have to wait still.

I’m wondering the same thing. I haven’t seen anyone post that they got into the elearning program yet. Please post if you guys hear anything!! Knowing we could still be waiting until the 13th is tough.

My friend got a call on Wednesday that she got accepted into the eLearning! She scored 165 combined! So it's really hard to tell how they are notifying students.
