Lower Columbia LPN-RN Fall 2018

Published

Good evening!

Just starting a thread for applicants for the Lower Columbia College LPN-RN program starting in Fall 2018. Everyone should be almost done with testing. I've done the TEAS and am taking the Kaplan on July 30. I got a 81% on the TEAS which I hope will be competitive. Any other prospective students for Fall out there??

It's a group.

Got it- thank you!

Well I get to start the acceptance discussion! Tamara Norton contacted me this morning and offered me an alternative placement for the e-program. This means I move forward with orientation and the online portion but don't have a held clinical spot. If a student doesn't compete the online portion or declines clinicals, I'll get their spot for clinicals. Last year 80% completed the online program (stats on the nursing homepage). I feel good and spastic at the same time, haha! I mostly feel uneasy that I'm hoping that someone else comes against a reason to not complete the program. I've started a Facebook page called "LCC LPN-RN eLearning 2018-2019" please join! We can set up study groups and offer support there until we have a Canvas page!

Good luck everyone!!

Anybody get a letter today?? I saw that some people did, but my mail was all junk. :(

Amanda June I haven't- I was under the impression that the aren't sending letters out until st least next week?

No letter here but wishful waiting:)

Are you applying for LPN to RN? I got into the traditional RN cohort that begins in winter.

Hello- Those of you who took the Kaplan transitions exam, could you give any tips or tricks? I'm at a loss on how to study for it! I'm applying for the LPN2RN Fall 2019 cohort. Thanks!

Hey, I was curious how clinicals worked for people that aren’t local? I’m interested in applying because I like that the online option, but I live 2 hours away. Were clinicals spread throughout the whole program? Were they just during the last quarter? Were they everyday? Sorry for a million questions ?
