Lower Columbia College (LCC) LPN-RN 2021-2022

Updated:   Published

I'm starting this thread, because I couldn't find one for this year's application process for Lower Columbia (LCC)'s LPN-RN program. Please share any helpful information! What are you using to study for the TEAS and Kaplan exams?

Specializes in Geriatric Case Management.

My clinicals are starting July 3! In the e learning program they are only in the last 2 months. I will be at valley in Renton but locations span all the way from Everett to Renton to Longview and Vancouver.  Clinical times vary for example mine are Wed sat and sun but some groups have them all weekdays it really just depends on where you are placed. Clinical is July then August is preceptor in preceptor you follow the schedule of your preceptor and you don't know that until the end of July after clinical.

Also, yes easy to work full time for sure! I did it's just when the 3rd week of June comes and into the Summer you are pretty much on their terms!

I would have to say the Kaplan was easier because it was nursing knowledge and not so much stuff I learned a long time ago in pre requisites.

Oh my gosh, thank you! Such great information! I wish I could find out so much sooner LOL.

Good luck with clinicals and best wishes!!

I just graduated as I opted for the on campus version, which was mostly online due to covid. I feel like you guys will definitely get in with your scores! Reach out if you do!

Thank you!! And congratulations!

☺️?For those of you who were accepted, how long after the application deadline were you notified? Also, did they call or email?

do they let you know if you didn’t make it?

Oh gosh that’s so far away from now! This waiting game is brutal LOL

LOL it really is! And if you get an email before then it's probably not a good thing they send out rejection emails first!

I also got my notification on August 6 last year.  The wait was agonizing, but I remember to this day how happy I was when I got the acceptance e-mail.  It's been a very intense year, but overall it's been a good experience compared to another LPN to RN program I was attending before this one.

Yessss, it’s all I think about.

if you don’t mind me asking, what were your scores? If you remember.
Where did you do your clinicals and preceptorship?

We are just in our clinicals and preceptorship right now you only do them July and August. I am at valley hospital in Renton, I'm not sure where Linda is.

There is clinical sites all over western Washington, in Everett, Renton, Olympia, Chehalis and Longview. They will try to set you up closest to your home. I got 86 on the TEAS and 79 on the Kaplan to equal a score of 165. I believe everyone who scored above 153 got in this year.
