I'm starting this thread, because I couldn't find one for this year's application process for Lower Columbia (LCC)'s LPN-RN program. Please share any helpful information! What are you using to study for the TEAS and Kaplan exams?
Hello there,
Yes it is manageable with work and kids. I am a single mom of 2 girls and worked the whole program. Yes all of the due dates are structured but it is self taught you read do the lessons then take the exams and do the papers/discussions. There are not set class times or instruction times just due dates.
As far as clinical goes it's a whole different ball game. I haven't been able to work and do clinicals this Summer. From the 3rd week of June to last week of August you are on their timeline. My preceptor starts this week I'm at valley In Renton which is also where I did my clinicals. They have you full out a survey with location options and what area you would prefer but there is no guarantee you will get near your home. 26 days til graduation
Just to ease any confusion they ONLY call first to allow the people who opted to potentially choose traditional over e learning to weed those people out. THEN they send out decline emails THEN they send out acceptance emails. You won't be getting a phone call unless they are asking if you want to switch to traditional, just so people aren't waiting by the phone. Check your email often. I got mine last year Aug 6 I believe. ? good luck everyone! 26 days until my cohort graduates! So done!!
