I'm hoping to be accepted into Charity School of Nursing this fall so that I can start in the Spring of 2016. I know that there are certain vaccinations that we have to have, and with all of the looking around I've done so far, it seems really expensive! Does anyone know of any places that I could get these vaccinations at a lower cost? All help is appreciated!

Just a heads up, if you need the Hep B vaccine, you'll most likely need a Dr. prescription. I tried getting this one at Walgreens, and they wouldn't give it without the prescription.

So I'm currently at charity and will be starting level 2 in the fall...certain vaccines you need a titer for first..then you need the vaccines only if your test aren't high enough. You will also need the tdap if it's been over 10 years..but when you get accepted and go for the first meeting they tell you places to go that will help with the cost of titers and vaccines. One place that is cheap is the health unit..vaccines there are 10 dollars but you need an appointment
What health unit? That way I can schedule my appointment right after orientation.
There is one in marrero on ames and I think there is one in Metairie. Try looking up jefferson parish health unit for the phone number.
