  1. Ok, so in nursing 1 for clinicals you are only on campus for like the first two weeks. Then you go to a nursing home then the hospital. I don't remember the exact time frame so it will depend on if you're at the hospital at that time. Also do you have any test scheduled around the due date? Because I'm sure you still have to show up for those regardless. I know for lecture attendance is usually not mandatory.
  2. Well, it all depends. What is your clinical rotation like? Did you take the pharm class over the summer? Also, do you know anyone going into the same team as you that could possibly record the lectures for you?
  3. In the past, it seems 65 has been the cutoff score. It all really depends on how competitive the applicants profile scores are. I think a 70 should be good but it's still always stressful while waiting. I had an 80 and was still stressed about getting in.
  4. Don't be afraid to ask questions about something you don't understand. Most teachers are very helpful and want you to succeed
  5. There is one in marrero on ames and I think there is one in Metairie. Try looking up jefferson parish health unit for the phone number.
  6. So I'm currently at charity and will be starting level 2 in the fall...certain vaccines you need a titer for first..then you need the vaccines only if your test aren't high enough. You will also need the tdap if it's been over 10 years..but when you get accepted and go for the first meeting they tell you places to go that will help with the cost of titers and vaccines. One place that is cheap is the health unit..vaccines there are 10 dollars but you need an appointment
  7. I think so. I'm not sure of the exact math numbers but I know you need the one right before math 130 to apply...
  8. Yes both of those help meeky2006! They admit based on your overall profile score
  9. You only get the 15 points for completing everything
  10. Or you can go on facebook and type charity school of nursing spring 2015
  11. I got in toooo! I can't contain my excitement! Congrats to the other ladies....I can't wait to meet you all...and definitely yes to a facebook page!
  12. Me too!!! I have a friend who was accepted to the LPN program this summer and she found out via email at like 12 in the afternoon...so I've definitely been stalking my email...it's soooo nerve wracking. I also keep recalculating my profile score even though I know it didn't change...
  13. Yes you aren't the only one..whenever I have free time, I'm constantly thinking about it..and what I should be doing to get ahead and how things will be if I'm accepted
  14. I live on the westbank, in marrero
  15. I agree. I check my mail everyday even though I know the apps were due last week..but starting school has helped some. So just a question but where is everyone from?
