Just wanted to share with you all that I lucked right into a great DON position for my first attempt. After 6 weeks I feel like I'm settling right in. I have a great staff that seems happy and enthusiastic to be there and part of the team. The administrator that hired me quit the first week I was there which about gave me heart failure, but lucked into getting a new administrator that I think ultimately I can work with even better.
Now I have put this in writing. You have my permission to use this post against me later when I am back here complaining about the job -
So happy for you, You deserve every minute of this...may it last and get even better. Feel free to share success stories or strategies that worked for you.
BTW when things are good is when it is a great time to consider intitating projects to promote health in your facility.
