Members are discussing various aspects of the CRNA program at LSU, including concerns about communication, waitlist status, financial aid, clinical rotations, and housing arrangements. Some members are seeking information about the program, while others are sharing their experiences with the admissions process and preparing for the start of the program in May. Additionally, there are discussions about filling out FAFSA forms, clinical site rotations, and the possibility of finding roommates to share rent.
Starting for updates as the deadline just passed!
Anyone else receive an interview link? I received one the last week of May, and my interview is mid June. Any advice on the interview questions?

I've had friends with car break ins on campus as well, the cars were on campus parking, but it was outside and open for basically anyone to walk in. There are elevated walkways throughout the entire campus that you can use and never touch the ground. But yes there have been many problems before. Don't keep anything valuable in your car. Car break ins are the main issue.
To add to the car break in thing^^ I went there for three years and never had a problem personally!
Thanks for your response! I appreciate it! I'm just so nervous because of the location of the campus and also trying to find a place to live. If it's in a safe place it's so expensive! I heard new orleans is a great place though! I am just not sure for me personally that it would be worth it when there are so many other schools in the country in locations that are more safe for a solo gal. I have a friend who works at the level I in New Orleans and she says the amount of gun violence crime that come in is staggering. the scary part is that she's told me and I've also seen on the news how a good number of gunshot victims are just innocent bystanders who were in the wrong place at the wrong time😔

An extra few hundred a month in loans won't be difficult at all to pay back once we graduate haha. I'm not from Nola but I've spent the last 2 years working in the trauma ICU and living in a city with gun violence that's just as bad. A vast vast majority of gun violence we see is gang related, and the relatively few innocent bystanders we see who get shot were hanging out in bad parts of town to begin with, usually late at night. I can't speak for Nola specifically but for the most part if you live in a good part of town and don't do things like walking alone at night you'll most likely be just fine 🙂

I've been living in Nola for going on 12 years & 100% agree with everything in this post. Like a lot of big cities we have issues with poverty & inequality that drive a good bit of crime. I've also never had a personal issue with violent, just be vigilant when walking around certain areas. Pepper spray is a good idea if it'll help you feel more safe- I carried some for a couple of years to make my boyfriend feel better but never needed it.
