Starting for updates as the deadline just passed!
Anyone else receive an interview link? I received one the last week of May, and my interview is mid June. Any advice on the interview questions?

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has heard back from LSU yet. I interviewed back in mid July and have not received any correspondance yet. I reached out in August to inquire about decision and was told on 08/22 the process should conclude shortly. I'm just ready to hear the good or bad news.

At this point it's like being on the waitlist without being on the waitlist. I'm guessing if we didn't get a call by now then we are getting rejected

Yeah I can feel the unofficial waitlist vibes for sure 😕 Hopefully we get some good news soon🙏🏼

I've heard it's not over yet, but it is so terrible how they are drawing it out so much.

For those that are accepted & are coming from out of town, what is your opinion on the crime in New Orleans? I have a few friends there who told me that someone recently broke out of juvenile detention and carjacked a lsu student. They've also told me that they know of 4 srnas in the last 6mo that have gotten mugged walking out from class. They are also from another state, and rent and the cost of living is outrageous in New Orleans. I mean we are all gonna be broke for 3 years to begin with. I am seriously considering giving up my spot because all in all I'm terrified of the crime and don't think my life is worth putting at risk for a school. What do you guys think?

Word is that the roster is finalized and waitlist/rejection letters come out this week. Congrats to all who got in. I mean no hate to you all with my next statement and only wish the best for you. However, I know a handful of people who did not meet the basic minimum requirements (yes, none), and got accepted. Because of who they know. LSU is known for its politics, especially in the nurse anesthesia program. So essentially if you had a competitive application & didn't get a call, don't feel like you're not good enough. You just weren't friends with the admission team! The scary part is I know a few of the nurses who got in are actually dangerous in practice. So, enough said.
