Hi Everyone,
I took NCLEX earlier today, machine shut off at 75 but I really feel like I didn't make it. I've read here on the board that 75 is supposed to be a little encouraging but I really don't think it is. What makes me even more nervous is that I got about 8 - 9 select all that apply which to me are the hardest and I really feel that I probably got around 6 of the 9 of them wrong. I was so upset to see these questions on the screen keep popping up it was like a cruel joke!!
IN any case was wondering if anyone had a similar experience where you got lots of these type questions, how you thought you did and if you passed. I could use the extra faith, because it's not looking so good for me.
Yes, I am breathing! Thank you for the response. I am trying to push myself away from this computer, but I am enjoying reading other posts. Just about 12 more hours and I can call Pearson....
LOL, I'm trying to keep you calm, and I know full well someone's gonna have to pry me off the ceiling when I'm awaiting my results.
Is calling the testing center an option? I didn't think it was; I thought you had to wait for your name to "appear" on the Board of Nursing website for your state. I imagine Pearson would have some kind of automatic system or they'd go berserk with calls.
As for pushing away from the message board....ha! I've been alternating between doing practice questions online and coming in here....I've never read or posted so much in all the time I've been here!
If it helps keep you calmer, keep reading. If not, and you're getting that pain between your eyes again, get OFF the thing and get some mindless magazine, or the tv remote, or an alcoholic diversion... :)
It's become a favorite of mine of late.
Well, just got kids to bed, my head is killing me, I can't look another Qbank question in the eye (so to speak) so I'm going to turn this thing off, grab the crochet project I've been picking at the last couple of months, and find the tv remote!! Now, that sounds like a plan.
Personally, if I were you, I'd be doing the same thing as above (but with a hefty White Russian on the table next to me :) )
Good night, I'll look for your Good News tomorrow
You hear so many rumors. Two of my classmates got all 265 and both failed. One got 90 questions and the other around 100 and both passed. Two got 75 questions and both passed. Seems to be no good pattern. One got her results with 1 1/2 hrs of taking the test. The others were within 24 hours. Still waiting...........
D-baby and Kbbeaver - good luck I'm with you; it's 11 p.m. and still feel WIDE awake; my husbands like "relax already!" :uhoh3:
Thanks to everyone for the postive thoughts;
Carlo5 mentioned that getting "check all that apply" might be a good sign because they are considered harder? Has anyone else heard that? It would make me kind of feel better..
Just to let you all know, especially RNs2B..... I PASSED!!!!:balloons: My daughter had to look it up for me because I was too wired. She covered her mouth and looked at me and nodded her head. I looked and there was my name with my license number next to it!
Thank you, God! "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" Good luck to all those waiting. I was with you for 48 hours and know how you feel!
CONGRATULATIONS DBABY That's AWESOME! :balloons: Now you can relax and breathe - I hope you will do something nice for yourself this weekend to celebrate!! :balloons::yelclap:
Has anyone found them questioning themselves as to WHY they wanted to become a nurse through all of this?? Not that I don't I really really really do, I just think the path to becoming one has been the hardest thing I've done in my life. Not only do you have to SURVIVE Nursing school, but you have to survive the nclex just to get in the door!!!

WOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm so happy for you, I can't even imagine how YOU'RE feeling!! This is so exciting....now, if you didn't get that Calm Me Down drink before, you'd better be going out CELEBRATING!!!

LOL....Every single day throughout nursing school
And at this point, I'm so used to living, eating and breathing stress, hey why NOT take an exam designed to cause ventricular fibrillation?
Nursing Dx: Severe Anxiety r/t Fear of Failure. That'll motivate :)
