Lost med

I was recently contacted by my board of nursing about  2 missing Ativan at a Facility I worked at for less than a month almost a year ago. According to them I signed a med delivery that included this and it was to go in the facility cubex. The pharmacy says an audit was done and the medication was unaccounted for. I was never contacted by the facility about this. This occurred apparently on my last fay with the facility. I  left there for a different job. I don't even remember this incident and never had access to the cubex.  I  did a web interview with a state board person and a pharmacy representative.   I felt like the pharmacy person was trying to  get me to admit that I  self administratored it, which us something I would never do.  I have not heard anything else from this and was wondering how worried I should be.

Seriously, get a lawyer, even though the cost may seem burdensome. The board of nursing's main interest is "protecting the public" not getting to the truth, and you diverting the medication for self use is the simplest explanation and the one they will want to go with.

Once your lawyer gets you exonerated, see if you can go after the facility for false reporting. I'm not a litigious person, but false accusations are reprehensible.

Go and read the Nurses/ Recovery board. I'm not in anyway suggesting you have a problem or have done anything wrong, I am suggesting you need to see exactly how seriously you need to be treating this.

Get a lawyer immediately!
