So, I've been a nurse for a year now. I graduated back in 2013, but wasn't able to obtain my license until July 2014. Like most people, I'm having a difficult time landing that hospital job. I graduated with my BSN. I currently work at a medical spa performing laser hair removal, as i needed a job to start paying off my student loans. Ive been working here for about 6 months and still actively looking for a hospital job, but nothing seems to budge. I'm starting to feel discouraged that i'll never get that acute care experience. Any advice? Btw I live in California.....
Help a gal out please!!!!!

Have you considered relocation? Sometimes, to find an acute care job, the competition is lessened by moving to another area/state. What about joining professional organizations and using the meetings as an opportunity to network? There are times when getting a job depends more on who you know than what you know.

Excellent advice. All the great jobs I have gotten were word of mouth from insiders.
