Hello! I am started this thread to if there are others who plan on applying to Los Medanos. ?
Gotcha. You sound very much on top of it. 55 would be incredible. I applied for traditional RN this year as well and I was selected to move onto Phase 2. I'm assuming those acceptance/alternate notifications will come out after September after the TEAS test for those who haven't taken it yet.
Oh okay, see yea knowing you applied to the RN program, I was certain you would be selected for the next phase. Yea im hoping the 55 will do it, im limited to where I apply also because I prefer to be closer to home more days out of the week than less because I want to be close to my daughter. I Know I have to commute for clinical for but class days I can be close to home. But anyway thanks for replying and all the info. Knowing you applied and the score you got gives me an idea of what I should be shooting for as far as my next score.

just wondering for those of you who started at LMC, what do you think of the program? Do you feel like you're being well prepared? I'm hoping to get in for Fall 2021...
I'm in the program now. I joined this semester (3rd) as an lvn-RN transition student. I love this program. I definitely feel well prepared and I'm learnign so much. The faculty is amazing, patient, and encouraging. They truly want the students to succeed and pass. I've heard horror stories from my friends in other programs and I feel very lucky and happy that I chose LMC.

HI thank you for replying, Yes I do remember you mentioning that earlier. Did you apply to the RN program or the LVN to RN program? Usually people who apply to LVN to RN are a little more ahead or advanced in requirements, so you having the score makes sense.
I have actually consulted with a counselor many times, I already have an AA, and I am retaking the only B I have at another school district this fall, and I am a CNA. I was askingspecifically what those who were accepted to the RN program or were on the alternate list for their scores because if majority of them were in the 50's I could have a chance by increasing my points by 5, but maybe most of them were 55's so maybe I need to increase my points by 10. By retaking the B course will increase me by 10 whole points, but I am just trying to get an idea of where I should be before I apply again since I have a year an half to increase my score. The counselor said anywhere from the 60s-75 for the RN program specifically is a less common, so I am hoping a 55 will gain me spot, but that could change and maybe most of the applicants selected were actually in the 60's this year, ya never know.
Also knowing the scores of those they selected will help me highlight any flaws in the selection process and what I need to look out for. If that makes sense.
