I am posting this for the students applying to LMC's Nursing program that starts in Fall of 2024. This is for everyone to meet, congregate, post statistics, and help one another in the application process. 

The application opened on 1/3/24 and is set to close 2/2/24.

The COVID-19 vaccine requirement is not very clear. I submitted two series of vaccines plus one current vaccine but forgot to upload the booster. I am surprised that Complio still approved it. Since I had the booster a long time ago, I resubmitted it anyway.

FYI - we need two consecutive TB tests spaced between 7-21 days apart. 
 

COVID: mine was approved and I submitted my original Pfizer series (2020) plus one booster (1/21) so as long as you have the original series with one boosters it will be accepted, regardless of when it was administered. I'm so relieved because I didn't want to take it again!

Do we need to have our drug screen completed by today the 5th? Or does it just need to be ordered through complio?

We need to order it by July 5. Here is from [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME]'s email:

"Please note that your background check and drug screening should be ordered by July 5, 2024."

Have people been able to complete their physical exam with Kaiser? Occupational Medicine told me they could not do it and my PCP didn't have the tools available for the hearing and vision tests. Has anyone successfully gotten the form completed at an urgent care?

Hi, a UC will not do a PE. I worked for JM and KP and I can tell you they won't do it. You can try Concentra or Wellssmart. Good luck.

My Facebook friend, who also goes to LMC, went to Brentwood Urgent Care for a physical exam yesterday. The cost would be around $75 if covered by insurance. I called San Ramon Urgent Care, and they could do the physical exam (including hearing and vision), but I ended up doing it with my primary doctor at JM because she was able to squeeze me in for an appointment yesterday.

That's weird that your pcp wasn't able to do it. Mine had no problem doing it. Maybe schedule an appointment with another doctor or NP.

My pcp did both vision and hearing that same appointment. And then she filled out my form while I went to get my vaccines.

I did a vision and hearing test with Kaiser.

Has anyone been able to fully register for their classes yet?

Seems like it's taking a long time for my documents to be cleared.

It really is a process to get items cleared once uploaded. I have all my documents cleared (as of last Friday) and did not receive anything to register, I believe we will be able to register after orientation.

Has anyone received the handbook email that was discussed yesterday in orientation? I haven't received any emails yet
