Hey, is there anyone who applied for Fall 2017 admission to LA County? Have you guys heard any news? has anyone called you? What are your thoughts?
Yes, I am applying with 76 points. I do not mind if I have to wait until next year to get in. I would retake any of my Science classes in a heartbeat. I already took some classes that I didn't even need. I as well am working at the moment, and in school full time. I will be taking my NCLEX-PN sometime during June so I can start working as an LVN as soon as possible and next time I can apply into the bridge program. It would be AWESOME though if I can start the program this year so I am still hoping and praying that I make it in this time. Thank you so much for all your help; I really appreciate it :)
Hi VNLaura; have you heard anything new? I also applied to the bridge program and received the email last week that we would hear something by this week. I called this am and they said they are still trying to decide... Hopefully we will hear something soon, so disappointing when we are told one thing and it doesn't follow through. Good luck all!

Hello LVNTORN86! I did not apply for the bridge program. I asked if I could without having my VN license yet, and they said no. I am still in VN school. I am graduating on May 18th and planning on taking the NCLEX as soon as I get my authorization letter. I applied into the generic option. You guys will be hearing the results for the bridge program soon. I called this week as well and they said they are focusing on the bridge program right now. We (generic option) won't hear anything until mid May. Good vibes so you can be one of the chosen ones.
The school I went to CES college in Burbank has an MA program, if you quality for pell grant it'll cover the whole amount (thats what I Recall over 5 years ago) great school.
Thanks. It does look like a good school. I'm looking for an accelerated MA program though...one that can be completed during the summer or in one semester but I can't find any in LA.. they all take almost a year to finish. I did find a program with sf state university that takes only one semester to finish but I need one in LA.
