Hey, is there anyone who applied for Fall 2017 admission to LA County? Have you guys heard any news? has anyone called you? What are your thoughts?

Hello to all nursing students from LA county school of nursing :) Last month, I submitted all the requirements except TEAS score for the 2018 spring. I am still waiting for the invitation letter from them to take the TEAS exam. Did you guys take TEAS exam with the invitation letter? I couldn't able to register the TEAS exam at the ATi testing center coz all the places are already full until sept and I couldnt apply to other nursing school without TEAS scores. So I have to wait the letter to take the TEAS test. How long did u guys wait to get into the LA county nursing school? How many students do they accept for each semester? I am really appreciated for every suggestion and comments. thank you

I applied but I haven't heard anything yet. I've sent my questionnaire and teas results the end of feb.

Cj. You said questionnaire ?? Is this the written interview thing I saw online ? If so can you give me more info

Can any current student or grad who went thru the program tell me if the professors allowed the recording of lectures in class for your studying? Were there any restrictions? were latops/tablets allowed for taking in class notes? I’m a huge auditory learner and considering a program that encourages to maximize student’s learning needs.

Can someone who went through the CSULA collaborative program chime in please?

1. Were you finished with all of your CSU GE certification courses before you started the first summer session at CSULA? Were there some of you who actually got in even tho you weren’t done?

2. How long are the summer sessions, in other words when is the start/end dates? Is it possible to squeeze in a GE course between the the first summer and fall sessions?

3. Are the upper division courses to be taken at CSU or can be taken elsewhere such as at cc?

So far, I still have a political science and a humanity remaining and I believe I still have as much as 9 credits (3 classes) of upper divisions left to take ;(

I was done with everything, but there are some peeps who made it in without having all of the GE certification courses done.

They are 8 weeks long. We started June 17, 2019 and will be finishing up on August 9, 2019. There are some students who are doing the summer session classes at CSULA (6 units= 2 lectures + 1 lab) and taking a couple of classes at a community college at the same time so it is doable.

Take everything you can at a community college. It is way cheaper so take advantage of that.

Depending on where in the ADN program you are when you start the collaborative program, but some of us who will be graduating in December of this year, will have the Spring 2020 semester off. I am taking advantage of the time to prepare, take and pass my NCLEX, but if you still need that many credits, then you can take a couple of classes during the Spring/Fall semester.
