Los Angeles County School of Nursing Fall 2017
Can someone who went through the CSULA collaborative program chime in please? 1. Were you finished with all of your CSU GE certification courses before you started the first summer session at CSULA? Were there some of you who actually got in even tho you weren’t done? 2. How long are the summer sessions, in other words when is the start/end dates? Is it possible to squeeze in a GE course between the the first summer and fall sessions? 3. Are the upper division courses to be taken at CSU or can be taken elsewhere such as at cc? So far, I still have a political science and a humanity remaining and I believe I still have as much as 9 credits (3 classes) of upper divisions left to take ;(

Los Angeles County School of Nursing Fall 2017
Can any current student or grad who went thru the program tell me if the professors allowed the recording of lectures in class for your studying? Were there any restrictions? were latops/tablets allowed for taking in class notes? I’m a huge auditory learner and considering a program that encourages to maximize student’s learning needs.

Are my chances of getting into nursing school gone?
I would suggest taking one or two classes per semester. That way you have more time to study and to focus on each subject. Also try not to take two science classes at the same time. Although it might take you longer to finish all the prerequisites, your goal should be to get the highest GPA possible for later when you apply. The sooner you figure out your learning style the easier it will be for later as well. Also take advantage on any study materials you can possibly find i.e. tutors, YouTube, khan academy, and various other A&P channels out there.

I'm also in a similar situation, but I'm curious to know why you prefer CONAH over your other program. My dilemma is that the County offers only one affiliated collaborative school CSULA as opposed to a few more choices offered i.e. at LACC. I'd assume that the competition would be a bit higher overall at CONAH
