Any one here graduates of the program? Or are in the program?

hey mugalex..

not having received a letter can be a good thing.. maybe there still evaluating your application. if you dont mind me asking how many points do you have. i had 76 and that didnt cut it for me but you never know if other factors played a role in me not getting accepted. who knows... i wanna know how it works if lets say people who did get accepted choose not to go to county.. do they resend letters saying never mind you are accepted?? either way im hoping i get one of those letters lol. im still really sad but i have a great support system here at home with loved ones.. theyre helping me keep my head up to looking forward to september. either way if you dont get in this semester (HOPEFULLY YOU WILL THO! WE STILL DONT KNOW) we will FOR SURE get in for september. keep me posted! -iliana

thanks iliana, i swear to god, reading your messages help me. i had 78 points which kills me. kills me. if i had retaken a class this last semester instead of having done nothing... right now i'm in my "what if's " stage... i don't want to do a damn thing.. i'm so depressed... at least we got september girl!

Hey mugalex!

imma tell you right now you NEED to get out of the "what if" stage!! i was in it for days!! mine was the "can you imagine if" stage!! lol "can you imagine if" i wouldve retaken one of the courses for a higher grade.. your digging a bigger hole to get out of.. thats only IF and only IF you dont get in.. i did nothing this semester too and i wish i wouldve done something just to raise my grade! IF and thats still a big IF you dont get in.. my sister (an alumni of county) made a good point.. we would just have more time to catch up on life before we enter the busiest, hardest, most stressful two years of school we've done... and trust me im still bummed out but what do you do?? i honestly couldnt wait to start school in january. i was excited, nervous, and really was looking forward to having no life if it meant i was in the program but again..what do you do?? my birthday is coming up and i was like you in not wanting to do anything cuz i was so sad at first.. but everything happens for a reason AS MUCH as i would LOVE to start in january its not gonna happen for me so why be depressed.. im even planning a trip to vegas to help.. that was hard to do trust me.. i feel like why should i celebrate if i didnt accomplish anything but again life goes on and like my sister says everytime she sees me down or hears me say another "what if" she always says.. "ITS NOT A BIG DEAL! NOW YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO AND SEPTEMBER HERE YOU COME" lol.. im happy my messages help and hopefully we can keep in touch. again keep me posted! and keeps your hopes up!! im sure youll get it considering the cut off was 79 and im sure a handful of people have chosen not to attend county so they have to move down the list to the 78's--which is YOU.. thats probably why they havent sent your letter yet.. theyre waiting for peeps with 79 to bail on them so they can send the 78's acceptance letters! :D Positive Thinking helps too!

Hey guys. It's the 18th and no letter. So I called. Eeeeeeeek! and I gave her my info. And told her why I called. And she had an answer.....!!!!!!!!!! They are still making decisions!!!! Hope?! Or am I going to come down harder? I have to stay positive. I have to stay positive. Another week has gone by and I'm in for yet another agonizing week! I know I have it in me. I hope they hve faith in me. My family does. My husband does! Please!!!! Wahahahahahaaa

Stay positive! I was at today's orientation. A couple of people were accepted at another college as well and were still trying to decide. Some due to financial aid differences between county and the other school. Plus there was one or two that weren't sure they could support themselves even with financial aid. You never know!

Good luck! Just think, even if it doesn't happen this semester you can reapply for fall. That gives you 6 months to save money and retake one class. Also, you will automatically get one more point for having qualified previously. That one point could make the difference in the fall.

hey blue, so how is it going to work. once they figure how many people are not going to choice county do they send a second round of letters? i think if you recieve a letter that says your not in then your for sure not in but for others like mugalex they havent recieved a letter cuz they are the round of people who would have first dibs on places in county that others decided to give up for other colleges. what do you think?

Hi Iliana,

I think it depends on how many people are in the "borderline" section. They had over 400 applicants with 190 that were qualified. They were only accept a total of 50 people (40 at County & 10 at Olive View). I'm not sure how many of those 50 will drop at the last minute... probably not very many.

They only have a few more days to be able to accept anyone new... because the health clearance deadline is coming up soon and all that.

Mugalex - have you heard anything?! I'm really hoping for good news from you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! and thanks girls... it is january 1st and i still haven't heard anything... i will see you girls in september. i'm going to call on monday. again. and ask, what i should do next.

Hey Mugalex... Did you get a chance to call? Anything? Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hoping to see you in a week... or next semester if needed.

Hello! I wish I would've known about this site a long time ago! It's nice to see how everyone's been so helpful and supportive of each other through the whole application process. Blue, I'll be in the same class with you and will be seeing you next week! I've bought all my books, but still waiting for my uniforms to arrive. Have a few things I still need to get and do before school starts. I don't know anyone in the class, so I wonder how the others are doing and if they're just as nervous as I am :D
