sorry for the long response time-

i hope you are all doing great and that you all passed your exams!

i do not consider myself 'smart', im just a very hard worker who is afraid of failing that exam.

with helen feuer, you will feel that you need more questions to practice, because to be quite honest, there are not very many.

hi peydon, today is sat nov. 21, are you sure you did not pass the nclex exam??

i wish i could tell you good advice about passing the exam--- but the only thing i can say is what worked for me. i really studied kaplan to the max-- i would get upset at myself, if i scored 57-70's on my exams-- so i would keep studying until i had above 70's. in kaplan they tell you that you have a good chance of passing the exam if your score is above 65-- but i had to get the highest score because i was very afraid of failing that exam. all the questions in kaplan, i must of done them more than twice because i kept doing them and doing them until i had 0 wrong. i watched the content videos, and the questions videos twice, with book open-- so i could understand the topic being lectured on-- and my scores went from 56% to above 70's. in addition, i also went to the live lecture twice just to make sure i learned the right kaplan concepts to pass-- as many other people have passed with that study course.

there are many ways and other programs where people pass the course. some people like kaplan and passed with them and some don't.

one of my girlfriends who took kaplan with me did not pass her exam the first try-- and honestly, from what i saw-- she did not put her heart into studying the kaplan course. i would tell her to come to meet me at the kaplan center, and she was too busy dong other things. she failed, got her money back then went to hurst review-- which she absolutely loved, studied whatever study materials came with the program-- while working a full time job-- and passed boards the second time.

so my advice to you is-- to go to one study program-- whichever it may be-- you can try hurst review like my friend-- and just stick to whatever materials that program comes with, study super hard, do all the questions untill you have nothing wrong, watch videos twice or three times-- as much as possible, read the book at least 3 times, study every minute you get-- don't watch tv, don't go to the movies when you are studying--, don't let a day go by without opening your book.... and you will see that you will pass the exam. and remember just to stick with one thing, because once you start doing other books like saunders, and pearson-- it will be a waste of time, and confusing. i bought pearson and i did not use it because it wasn't like the same type of questions as kaplan-- so i just stuck with kaplan. and when i got bored of kaplan i listened to content lecture in helen feuer review-- while i had my kaplan book open so i could follow the same topic.

i wish you the very best. and let us know how you are doing

hey bumble bee,

Thank u so much for ue advice.Yes,i did studied Kaplan and right now am with hurts,so yes,as u said let me try one material all time.Is it that am international nurse that i need to work on something more than the what graduate of state does.

i already bought and my kaplan material is expired ,so i need to work on it.

i checked the result of my exam as shown by pearson and the computer went till payment and conformation which people says that i failed.I really did my soul into the exam but it didnt work out ,it is frustrating and i dont have anyone next to me for guidance to,so it is hard.

anyway,thanks

oh yes,

as an international nurse it can be challenging as the language of the US is different. but it is doable!! I know 3 international nurses that passed the nclex, one is from canada, and she passed on the 1st time, the other two are from india and brazil and they passed on the 3rd try---

sometimes, the way we study are different, because we learn to do things a certain way in the real-world than in the book world-- and since you are trained in your country the questions can be quite confusing-- and that is why, you definitely can find the guidance from that study review you are doing.

i am happy for you that you chose a a program like hurst--- and that is the guidance that you will need to pass the exam. you don't need another person to tell you what to do. just study and study an study, and you will pass.

i heard that they give you extra study material once you ask for it!! so you can do that as well.

don't be frustrated anymore, and just make up your own study plan, and think of it as a challenge that you CAN pass and you CAN do it!!

study super hard, and you will make it.

i used to write my name, RN every time i was feeling down or tired! seriously-- you have to picture your name, RN and write it down---

if you passed your nursing school, you can pass this exam!!!!!!!

bestest of luck to you!

OK.

what I would do, is take the kaplan course-- and do the "live course" option... which you watch the live feed from a regular class.

do every question at least 5 times, read the book 3 times, and watch the content videos 3 times, watch the question videos 2x.

every day, have that be your job for the next 3 months. seriously, kaplan is 3 months from the day the class starts-- so that's plenty of time to study for the nclex.

it's a lot, and it's boring------ but that's what you have to do to pass. "no pain no gain"

It's a doable test that many many people pass-- so remember that if all these people are passing, you can too!!!!!
