Thnx for getting back to me ladies! @hnphan, I looked into that program but I didn't not meet the minimum gpa, I missed by 2 pts I was really interested in that one & Kaci was very helpful with information.
@ Chunkey Munkey- I'm actually retaking my sciences since they are over 5 years old but am planning to apply to Wharton in sl. Was it hard to get in? If u don't mind me asking, what did u get on your ACT & what was ur science gpa? I'm so nervous about retaking the ACT, I have pretty much forgotten all the math. I'm really trying not to stress, but it's hard.

I applied to WCJC(among others) as one of my backup schools if I don't get into UTHouston or TWU. I took the ACT last minute and I studied for the math portion more than I did any other section. I haven't recieved an acceptance/denial letter from WCJC as of today. I was told by WCJC that I'll be hearing something at the end of Aug or beginning of Sept, which isn't that far away. I scored a 26 Composite on the ACT and my science GPA is a 4.0. @carrie380 Goodluck on your Fall semester
Great ACT score & gpa! I'm terrified of standardized tests. I've been out of college for 10 years now & remember nothing. Math was never my thang anyway. Good luck in school & please keep us posted :)
Same here. I've been out for a looooooong time and this time around I'm much more serious about studying.

Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum so please forgive me if I have put this in the wrong forum.
I already have a B.A. in Corporate Communication from the University of Houston but am looking to transition into nursing.
I am looking into the Second degree BSN at Uhv but am not sure I will make it as it seems very competitive. I plan on taking my sciences again as it has been WAYYYY to long for me.
My question is have any of you gone through the adn program at wharton county junior college in sugarland? I am thinking about doing this program, then possibly going to finish my BSN.
I cannot seem to get any advisor on the phone or email to answer any of my questions. I know that you must take the ACT regardless of educational level, but that is pretty ,much all that I have found.
Does anyone know where their clinicals are held? What they are like? Any advice that may be helpfuil?
Thank you all for your time!!!!:redbeathe
