  1. I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’m interested in this school and would love to hear about it.
  2. Thank u aret21. I really appreciate hearing what the program is like from an insider. I was actuallt wondering if the low pass rates had to do with ppl changing their minds or waiting to long to take the nclex. Please keep us posted on your success this semester!
  3. Wow, I just looked. That is not good at all. What does this means in terms of program strength?
  4. Thank u Mochachild, I appreciate your response! I did not check out their nclex pass rate, I didn't even know to check. I definetly will check now. I have looked into uh-Vic because of their second degree BSN program, convenience, & since I am a uh alum :) I think I will also check out a few other schools as well
  5. Just wanted to say thank you for posting this!!!! You have no idea how much you have helped me!!!
  6. Hi everyone, I am very interested in applying to the U of H-Victoria second degree BSN program in sugarland. I am retaking my prereqs since they are over 5 years old so I will be applying next October. My question is this: I did not do so great my last semester of college & it brought my overall gpa down to a 2.75 Since I am retaking my sciences & doing my psych courses, I was hoping that this could lift my gpa enough, & if I do well on the teas I may have a shot. Has anyone been in this situation? Would making a 4.0 lift my gpa enough to give me a chance? Any information would be great! Thanks! Carrie
  7. Hi guys, What kinds of math questions do they ask on the teas? Math is my weakest subject & I barely squeaked by in it my first time around in college. I am just now starting my prereqs so I have plenty of time to study, but the thought of the math section is already giving me anxiety! Carrie
  8. Great ACT score & gpa! I'm terrified of standardized tests. I've been out of college for 10 years now & remember nothing. Math was never my thang anyway. Good luck in school & please keep us posted :)
  9. Congrats on becoming an aunt! It's the best! Student loans suck so my husband & I are trying to pay cash, I'll let ya know how that works out lol. We don't make a ton at all but we are budgeting & cutting corners every which way. It will be very tight, but I think we can do it.
  10. Cost is definetly a factor for me as well. I plan on taking the same route u are taking so it's good to hear that your sister reccomends it. I live off I-10 & kirkwood, near the Katy area so Galveston is a drive but I'd definetly be willing to do it too! I guess it really comes down to how badly you want to achieve something. :)
  11. Hi 3xmom, I am starting hcc this fall semester to retake my sciences which are too old. I am hoping to be done by spring, maybe summer depending on finances & my current workload. I am not so great at even basic math, so the thought of a standardized test is equivalent to a shot in the eyeball for me lol. Too say I'm scared is an understatement. Good luck at school and please let us know how ur program is going, I am interested to know what it's like on the inside. Best of luck! Carrie Pre-nursing student @HCC
  12. Congrats on ur acceptance! Was it difficult to get into the program?
  13. Congrats on ur acceptance!!! I have been thinking about applying to Galveston & COM as well. I'll pretty much go anywhere I'm accepted! Lol if you don't mind me asking, what was ur hesi? Good luck to you in the coming semester! Carrie
  14. I'm not in Austin area(live in Houston) & I think you all have a wonderful idea. I am looking for something similar for the HCC campuses, or even a Texas pre-nursing group. Good luck with your club & the upcoming semester!
