So I just took my NCLEX-RN for the second time. I got all 265, please tell me there is still a chance that I passed. I feel so much better about this exam. I feel like I passed. Any kind words would be great.
Well I will celebrate when I get my license in the mail. I studied SO hard and prayed even harder. Everyone wants to know what I did:
I took the exam first on Feb 2, after doing the week online review of Hurst. Failed.
Then on the following week I started NCSBN Review for 5 weeks. I took detailed notes of the lectures and took a test in the extra tests every day. I didn't get through all the test, which was a bummer. After my review ended, I made flash cards from my Hurst book/notes. I wrote down all the precautions as well and any disease I was not familiar with, like Meriner's, Kawsaki's.
I tired to sign up for my exam at the beginning of March but it was full until the end of March. So I decided to wait an extra week and take the exam on a thurs.
I took off with some nurse friends and went to Disney on March 23-29th. I won't lie, I don't recommend that. I felt like I should be studying the whole time. I did bring my phone, and I have a NCLEX review app and I did do questions in line while we waited for rides.
Once I got home it was Note cards and Hurst and my iphone app(that costed me 4.99)
I studied everyday this week and I did 100 questions on the morning of the test. This is how I thought about it. It's a unit of measurement, like a game. Who sends their players in cold, not warmed up, and not in the mind set. So test morning I woke at 5am and went for a jog, to get the blood flowing, then I came home and did questions for maybe 30 mins. ~100 ?'s. I have been praying the whole time. I prayed 5 times during the exam and I am a true believer that if I passed it's because it was God's will. Good luck don't give up.
