Hello, I'm a graduate of BSN in the Philippines batch 2012 and applied for NCLEX-RN here in California. After completing all the requirements the Ca-BRN wrote me a letter telling me that I have some deficiencies (MS, OB, Pedia and Psych) which have something to do with the concurrency issue and go back to school to complete the said deficiencies.
I asked some schools near my place. One school didn't credit all the subjects that I took which I have to go back to zero and other schools I'm still waiting for them to call back to meet with the counselor about my situation.
While waiting I want to ask if anyone knows some nursing schools that is accredited by the CA-BRN that accepts foreign students to enroll just the deficiencies. Thank you in advance to anyone who will reply to this message :)
Hello, I am wondering whether anyone could give me some v ery much needed advice. I am a RN in the United Kingdom. I have a BSc in Nursing and I qualified in 2004. I am a Cardiac Cath Lab nurse. I have applied to the California Bo9ard of Nursing and they have said that I am deficient in obstetric/ peds and pysch. I am finding it very difficult to find a school/ college/ university that just does the specific subjects. I have read most of the comments, and it seems everybody seems to be in the same situation. I am willing to move anywhere in California. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do? One nurse that I spoke to proposed that maybe I should think about relocating to Arizona to get my NCLEX done, as she said it is a lot easier. Please help, anyone as I do not know what to do. Cheers.
I'm also having the same dilemma. I have called countless of schools and most require me to retake the whole 2 year course. I have contacted Unitek and I am currently on the waitlist. I know Samuel Merritt but it has a $300 application fee and I'm not sure if it'w worth it when you are not guaranteed a spot? I also tried CCSF and EVC, both of which needs you to take entrance exams and additional courses other than what the BRN requires (Obstetric). I also called Fresno, and they have a 3 year waitlist. I only need OB Nursing and I am losing hope on what school will take me. I have considered moving to another state but I just can't leave California. I am currently waiting on my CGFNS because I have applied for the LVN exam. Is there anyone that can help me?
A reply would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know that Nevada State NCLEX has no fuss for requirements and the state is hiring a lot of nurses right now.

Hello lyndl14, I am required to enroll OBGYN. How did your program go? How much was the tuition? Thank you.
