Hello I live in So. CAL but I am planning on moving to Northen California soon. I also want to become an RN. Down here in So. Cal. we have West Coast University that has a LVN Bridge to RN Program in 18 months. Now I am contemplating on holding off on the move and going to school. Does anyone know if there is a simular progam in Nor. Cal. San jose area? If there is one in the San jose Area i will stick to my plans on moving up there. Thanks in advance for your help.

There's a private school named Unitek that offers an LVN-to-RN bridge program.

There is Unitek in Santa Clara & Fremont; cost $ 38,000 for 8 month program. You can apply to Mission College's (a CC in Santa Clara) as an 'advanced entry' into their RN program; other CC's in the area have that option too for about $ 4,500. Warning: ALL CC's are impacted here. Unitek - great option but very EXPENSIVE!!! I would do it though, if I could afford it. The Bay Area is wonderful; however, we are flooded with RN's. I don't mean to be a downer, just trying to give the whole story. Good Luck!
