Looking for LPN school in Colorado

Published

I am looking for a LPN program in Colorado. I heard Emily Griffith has a great program but I want to later move into RN program. I also checked in Regis What do you think?

Just wanted to let everyone know we now have HLC candidacy which is the first step towards NLN candidacy.

That's so awesome, thanks so much for letting us know!!!

I hope your quarter isn't too rough so far! :)

csulb_student,

I am thinking of going to Metro and had just a few general question I was wondering if you could help me with. What is your schedule like on a daily and weekly basis? Does this schedule change depending on the unit or placement? How hard would you say your classes are? I know people in other programs and they say that pharm and patho are the major classes and the rest are a lot less difficult, is this true for Metro? Do you work or know anyone that works while in the program? I know the 2010 program will be a little more spread out, so maybe we could work a little more than your class. What subjects have you had the most trouble with and would suggest studying up for before school starts?

Thanks

Nick

that's great news...but it is long process from what I read, 4 years?!. I do feel a bit better about my choice to start there in January

they told us we should have NLN candidacy by the end of the year......we will see if that comes true. ::crosses fingers::

Sorry...too lazy to read the entire thread again... bfrncr14, I'm curious are you currently in DSN? How far along are you?

Yes I do attend DSN. 4th quarter of the BSN program.

You must be starting to see the light at the end, huh?

Beetree,

I am also an applicant to Metro. I was put on the alternate list however. I was hoping that you or anyone else might be able to shed some light on this process. According to student's rights by national agencies...we have a right to know the: number of alternates from the last cohort, how many were accepted, what number we are, etc. Do you or does anyone know more about Metro's alternate lists?

Thanks, Nursing2010

I got my acceptance letter from Metro on Friday. Unfortunately, my wife got a job out of state so we'll be moving and I won't be able to attend MSCD. I'm bummed, but feel good about getting accepted anyway.

So if anybody's on the wait list, there's at least one person giving up a spot.

Good luck to everyone!

That's too bad. But as you said, at least you can take some pride in knowing you got in!

the programs at CCD have changed to competitive. both the pn and the adn programs are based off of GPA, Teas Test score, references, and work experience! I just got into the LPN program for January! they will have applications for the RN program available in february
