Hello All,
I am currently in the Military and am about to conclude service. I am looking for any info on Schools in or around Philadelphia. I have heard some schools like Drexel are good but Fast-paced and in a bad area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be attending Drexel this fall for their accelerated nursing program, if it's in regards to that program it is fast paced considering it's an 11-mos program. But you could prefer to do the traditional program.
As far as I can see Drexel wasnt in a "bad area". Pretty safe to me as a city can be. I've heard around Temple University area it can get a bit shady there (havent seen it for myself ). Good luck.

I don't know if you're willing to travel to NJ, but The College of NJ has an excellent nursing program and is right outside of Trenton in Ewing, NJ (about 45 min from central Philly). The area (Ewing) is pretty safe and the campus is beautiful.
Just an idea to consider. :)

Thank You for all the info you have provided. I do have one more question I was hoping someone could help me out with. How do you go about gettting Home of record in PA, and how long do you have to reside there before being elgible for in-state tuition. I have family who are there and am just wondering if I should change my home of record there now?
Thank You all again,

Residency usually 1 year...if you can come up with rent bill, morgage, utility:electric, gas, water in your name, drivers license...that's proof they look at.
Check links at top of PA forum for info on PA tuition programs.
