I am moving to Fort Lauderdale this week and will be looking at getting my CNA so I can start working ASAP. My husband and I are moving there for him to start pharmacy school. Does anyone recommend a specific school to get trained/licensed as a CNA around the Ft. Lauderdale area?

Before you do that you'll want to make sure you have a good understanding of what a Cna does. The turnover rate is so high and one of the reasons is jus not being prepared. It's an overwhelming amount of work with very little pay but at times can be rewarding.

Seconded that.
That being said, many nursing homes offer CNA classes on-site, so you will be totally immersed in what goes on in the day to day life of a CNA. It's worth looking up names of facilities in the area and calling around to see if they offer training programs, because often they are free of cost AND you're likely to come out of it with a job offer upon completion.
