You don't need to know anyone to work in a hospital you just need to impress the people in charge of hiring

With the exception of small rural hospitals, most hospitals utilize completely online applications. If you find out who conducts interviews for the position you are wanting, you can go introduce yourself and attempt to "sell your product."
If you are in school, be sure to tell them. They love nursing students (even pre-nursing).
It sucks I had to quit my job because my boss forgot I had finals on Monday and Wednesday. The nurse scheduler also lied to her boss to cover her butt. The nurse scheduler told her boss she told me to come in on Monday, but they knew before they offered me the job, I had summer classes and I would not be able to work on Monday and Wednesday. Did she expect me to miss my finals because she forgot I had classes on Monday?
I decided to quit instead of getting fired. This is the same lady who made the hospital replace a new CNA they hired because the CNA was sick and would not be able to come in on her first day.
I hope I get a job offer where I did my clinicals in school.
I am mad and dissapointed because she lied about me and tried to make me look like an irresponsible person. I take pride in my work ethic.

I'm going to start looking for my first CNA job next week. I really want to work in a hospital, but the chances are slim to none because you need at least one year of experience, or you have to know someone who works at the hospital.
Any tips on finding a job? Is it better to apply in person instead of online? Let me know how you find your job.
Thanks.
