Hello Arizona Nurses,
I'm looking for employment in Tucson. My license is on probation. I abused alcohol, have been sober for almost 4 years. Was working, but quit my job; I just hated it. Really need to find work soon. Does anyone know who is hiring nurses in my position? (probation) I have a few restrictions like, not able to work after midnight and no more than 84 hours in a pay period. No homehealth or agency. I do not have a narcotic restriction, since I did not abuse drugs. Any advice to where I could apply? Have almost twenty years as an RN, worked in many areas like, med/surg, ortho, neuro, ER, physh, ltc, etc. Would welcome any suggestions or advice.
Good 4 u in getting sober...keep it up. Check out dialysis
Hi Tallcactus - Congratulations on being sober! I would also suggest just applying to as many places as you see fit. Either they hire you or they don't! Just be sure that you are getting into a job that is safe. I worked in the float pool at UMC for almost 2 years and absolutely loved it. Some units there are pretty intense, but the 4:1 ratio makes up for it- your varied experience is a great asset. I've also heard very, very negative things about TMC - although I"ve never had any experience there. I wish you all the best of luck... I wish I was still in Tucson.
