Nurses Job Hunt

Published

I graduated in may 2012 and have been searching non stop for an RN job ever since. I have my BSN, ACLS, and PALS yet I've only been able to get three interviews to no avail. The last two I went on were within the last two months and they expressed that the fact I graduated more than a year ago didn't make me look too appealing.

Do you think it would help if I got a masters?

Specializes in Clinical Research, Outpt Women's Health.

No, because you still wouldn't have experience and you would still be an old new grad. You need to find a job in nursing. Any job to start getting experience. Try long termcare, dialysis, clinics etc....

In my new grad program, there is a guy who was unemployed for over two years.

Specializes in L&D, Mother/Baby.

Also look out for flu shot clinics. I imagine they'll be recruiting soon... Good luck!
