Hello everyone! Today is the first day to apply at LBCC ADN Spring 2023 and I wanted to create the forum so we can share our status a long the way. & not miss out on any important emails/dates.

Best of luck to us!

Heyy I'm looking to apply to other nursing programs. Do you know if Rio Hondo and Santa Ana require official or unofficial transcripts? I'm taking a Chemistry class for csulb this fall so I'm worried I may not be eligible to apply for the application dates coming up. Or should I wait till I completely finish my classes and apply the next application period?

Rio Hondo and Santa Ana do require official transcripts.

For CSULB you should still be able to apply and just indicate you have Chemistry pending. As soon as grades are posted you would have to send in whatever grade you got. I'm just finishing CHEM 3 this Summer semester and I will say that class was brutal ?

Haha that's why I opted to take it in fall so I had more time to process information

Does anyone know the process of how they select people? I know they choose a certain amount from each GPA category, but what's their system? When they select, do they see our names or just our GPA? That sort of stuff

Do they accept the TEAS 6 for Spring 2023? I did my TEAS 6 on may of this year and scored a 92%.

Also, do I attach unofficial transcripts from colleges  I attended?

You should email them in regards to that, I know many schools have a cut-off date for accepting TEAS 6. Not too sure on exact date as it varies, but many say after mid July 2022 they only accept TEAS 7. If accepted into the program or selected as an alternate they will email you with all that information and invite you to take the TEAS.

For transcripts, I attached my unofficial transcripts. You should attach them along with the life science form if you completed courses out of LBCC.

Oh okay, thank you. Yes I am transferring from cerritos college to LBCC. I did majority of my college courses at cerritos college and graduated, but I also attended at ELAC to do Microbiology and nutrition.

Hi all,

Thank you for creating this thread. This is my first time applying to this program. I submitted my TEAS scores as well as my unofficial transcripts.

Good luck to everyone!

I thought you were suppose to wait for acceptance then sent your TEAS score? I did my TEAS 6 on may..

Hi all,

Does anyone know how they select? How long they take to email back of applications?

They do a random selection of 300 applicants then from there a certain percentage is selected based on your GPA from sciences like 4.0 through 3.0 something like they the lower the GPA the lower the percentage that they select from that group. You will hear back in 6 to 8 weeks.

Welp. Just got an email saying I didn't make the final round ?

Oh no, I have to check my emails. I will keep you posted.

Nothing yet maybe they are still sending them out? I wonder if we will be notified if our application is accepted for the next selection process.
